(点击图片放大)柳州是全国五大汽车城之一，也是目前全国唯一同时拥有全系列整车制造企业的地级市及全国唯一同时拥有中国“一汽”、“东风”和“上汽”三大汽车集团整车企业的城市。2007年，柳州市汽车生产能力已经达到70万辆。预计2010年，汽车工业总产值将超过1000亿元。汽车生产能力达到100万辆，并形成120万台发动机的生产能力。汽车工业逐步融入全球汽车制造业生产体系，成为面向东盟市场的出口基地。
园区位于“中国五大汽车城”之一的柳州市南郊。 该项目由新加坡裕廊顾问公司规划设计。按照“前店后厂”的模式，建设机动车零配件生产基地、大型机动车零配件商贸城及机动车零配件物流配送集散地。
The zone is situated at the south suburb of liuzhou, which is the five biggest automobile cities of China. The Zone is programmed by Singapore Jurong. Construcited automobile spare parts workshops、automobile spare parts stores and automobile spare parts modern logistic center as “store in the front and workshop behind”.

按照总体规划，园区远期规划占地49平方公里，打造汽车零配件产业城，分为三个片区。北区为国内产业区（北城），中部生活区，南区为国际产业区（南城）。近期规划开发25平方公里，规划以组团状布局为主，各个组团间由城市主干道相连接，可以简单概括为 “一轴、两心、九组团”。
The Zone will eventually covers an area of 49km2 and will create a automobile spare parts and accessories centre with 3 sub-areas. The north area is domestic industrial area (refereed to North Town), the middle area is residential area, and the south area is internaitonal industrial area (referred to South Town). 25km2 will be developed in the near future comprising nine sub-groups connecting with trunk roads.
上海嘉定汽配科技城等7个项目已经率先进入园区，目前入园企业已达到117家，用地4585亩，投资总额38.84亿元，项目建成后，年产值将达到135亿元。
There are already 7 projects including Shanghai Jiading Automobule Spare Parts Centre are being constructed in the Zone. So far, there are 117 enterprises invest in the Zone occupying a land area of 3.1 km2 and attracting RMB3.884 billions. After construction, the annual output will be up to RMB13.5 billions.
